Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership is delighted to announce details of our 2025 Inclusive Summer Programme for children with additional needs. Supported by KRSP staff, tutors, coaches, and a cohort of great volunteers.
AGES FOR CHILDREN ATTENDING CAMP 6 TO 17 YEARS and must be attending school.
For Week 1 and Week 2, we request that parents/guardians select one camp only. By doing this, as many children as possible will have at least one summer camp week. For Week 3 our swimming camp – these spaces will be given on a first come, first served basis. When booking the swim camp, please book your child into the appropriate level camp (see guidelines below).
Thanks to generous support from Kilkenny Rugby Club, most of the activities in Week 1 and Week 2 will be hosted on their premises in Foulkstown, Kilkenny R95 CH68 from 10am to 12.30pm each day. Some activities, such as tennis in Kilkenny Tennis Club, will have a slightly different time (11am to 1pm), but you will be reminded of these beforehand. KRSP will have staff, coaches and volunteers on hand each day at all the camps to support your child.
Week 1 – July 14th to 18th from 10am to 12.30pm.
Week 2 – July 21st to 25th from 10am to 12.30pm
Activities will selected from the following: – athletics, rugby (with Leinster Rugby), soccer (with FAI Development Officer); Cycling (On Your Rothar) and Pitch & Putt (with Pitch and Putt Ireland), Kayaking (with Kilkenny Aqua Canoe Club), arts and crafts and orienteering / playground activities in Kilkenny Castle Park. All activities at very gentle, inclusive, and fun level with no pressure on participants to ‘perform’.
Week 3 – July 28th to August 1st – Children’s Swimming programme (for those aged 6-17 years) each morning in the Watershed with KRSP Swim Teacher, KRSP staff and volunteers.
