Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership has been successful in receiving funding for our Bainisteoir Beag programme. This programme is a fundamental leadership programme of playground games. The games are delivered by 5th class pupils to the younger classes.
KRSP is using the funding to discover more about how young people like to play, where they play, who are their influencers and their attitudes to technology and leadership. This is an exciting research opportunity for KRSP and the results will guide the way forward for the project.
The goal is to further develop Bainisteoir Beag and scale it up for delivery across all the entire LSP network. This will provide a quality physical activity opportunity for primary schools across Ireland.
