As part of the Urban Outdoor Adventure Initiative, KRSP works in partnership with a number of water sports providers, water sports clubs and youth groups to deliver programmes to young people in Kilkenny. The aim of these programmes is to increase participation in water sports in the county. The programmes are run in areas such as Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny City and Thomastown.
KRSP have recently held a Get Her Kayaking programme. Kilkenny Aqua Canoe Club kindly facilitated taster sessions for six girls to try out Kayaking for HER Outdoors week
